Cancer is one of the most common diseases of modern people. Usually cancer is common among men and women of middle age, especially after 50 years.

What is cancer?

Cancer or malignant tumor (malignant neoplasm) -
this is a disease in which the cell cycle is not controlled, and the cell division continues indefinitely.
The word cancer comes from the Greek word "karkinos" and Latin "cancrum", which means "crab". The medical term for this word is "neoplasm". This means the formation of new cells that begin to uncontrollably and infinitely divide.

Cancer occurs after the body's defense system, ie the immune system, is destroyed. If the cause of cancer is a violation of the immune system, then during diagnosis, it is usually found that the disease has lasted for several years or more.

Cancer is a physical disease, but mental and emotional stress can also cause new growths.

Cancer is classified into carcinoma and sarcoma, depending on the place of formation.

Carcinoma refers to a malignant tumor originating from epithelial cells, such as mucous membranes and skin.

Sarcoma refers to malignant tumors derived from non-epithelial cells, such as muscles, blood vessels, connective tissues, cartilage and bones.

1) Local symptoms:
There are tumors, hemorrhages, pains and ulcers that are not usually observed.

2) Transitional symptoms (symptoms of spread):
Cough, hemoptysis, hepatomegaly, bone tissue damage, neurological symptoms.
There may also be pain, but this is already with advanced cancer.

3) Systemic symptoms:

Loss of weight, loss of appetite, fatigue, and in some cases weight gain, excessive sweating, cold sweats during sleep, anemia, some metastatic events, such as hormonal changes during oncological activity.

The above symptoms can be caused by several different conditions.

Therefore, each symptom may not necessarily be caused by cancer.

Cancer Treatment

Surgery: A treatment that removes all or part of the tissue that causes cancer.
Cancer chemotherapy: treatment that acts on cancer cells spreads throughout the body with the use of anti-cancer drugs.
Radiation therapy: the method of killing cancer cells by destroying their spiral structure of cellular DNA or affecting the cell membrane using radiation.
Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation: treatment for the treatment of hematologic malignant tumors, such as leukemia and malignant lymphoma.
Immunotherapy: A treatment that strengthens the immune system to remove cancer cells

Cancer is a disease that does not fundamentally differ from heart disease.

Two common features of cancer and heart disease are the occlusion of the wall of the blood vessel and the clogging of the lymphatic system.
